SJS is an inflammatory disorder of the skin triggered by an allergic reaction to certain drugs including:
â€¢ Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications
â€¢ Anticonvulsants (Dylantin, Lamotrigine, Tegretol, Phenytoin, Phenobarbital)
â€¢ Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
â€¢ Ginseng supplements
If you believe that you, or a patient in your care may be having an allergic reaction to a medication, discontinue all medications immediately and contact your physician.
TEN (Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis) is considered the more severe form of SJS where over
