SJS Drug Allergic Reactions

SJS is an inflammatory disorder of the skin triggered by an allergic reaction to certain drugs including:
• Antibiotics
• Sulfonamides
• Tetracycline
• Amoxicillin
• Ampicillin
• Barbituates
• Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications
• Anticonvulsants (Dylantin, Lamotrigine, Tegretol, Phenytoin, Phenobarbital)
• Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
• Ginseng supplements

If you believe that you, or a patient in your care may be having an allergic reaction to a medication, discontinue all medications immediately and contact your physician.
